The Argentine Association of Translators and Interpreters [Asociación Argentina de Traductores e Intérpretes], AATI, was founded in 1982 by a group of highly enthusiastic professionals who wished to:
(We answer professional questions, and stand for our interests in congresses and mass media.)
(We organize and inform about courses, seminars, lectures, etc.)
(We were the first to celebrate in Argentina the International Day of Translators --September the 30th-- and have stayed in contact with the Certified Translators Association of the City of Buenos Aires [Colegio de Traductores Públicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires], the Certified Translators Association of the Western Region [Círculo de Traductores Públicos de la Zona Oeste], the Certified Translators Association of the Northern Region [Círculo de Traductores Públicos de la Zona Norte]Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas “J. R. Fernández” - IESLV, Escuela Normal en Lenguas Vivas “J. F. Kennedy” - ENSLV, Fundación Litterae, Universidad de Belgrano - UB, among other organizations.)
